How much does a website cost?
It depends what you want it to do!
It’s not easy to answer this question because there are so many different types of web sites. To give you an idea of cost, we have grouped some of our clients according to the type of service they have requested of us. By reviewing the work we have done for them, you should be able to tell roughly how much it will cost to fulfil your needs. Please have a chat with us if you would like to discuss a requirement or try to work out a budget.
Simple 'Static' sites (£500 to £5,000)
At the simplest end of the scale is the ‘brochure’ web site but even this can vary from that ‘cheap flyer’ to the ‘glossy booklet’. We can assist in putting together an appropriate package for most people’s requirements. This can include:
- Acquiring the domain name
- Hosting the site
- Organizing the emails
- A site design which reflects the existing corporate identity
- Help in creating the content, both text and images
- A solid foundation on which future developments can be built
Examples
Eclipse Miningware
Eclipse Page Counter
Rainring
Jenny Miller Opera
Self-Managed sites (£2,500 to £10,000)
Most businesses quickly discover that the simple brochure web site is of limited value to them. They want to be able to reflect the experience and expertise of their staff on the site, and that means taking some level of control and being able to add and edit content quickly and easily.
We have developed a CMS (Content Management System) that is very easy to use because it is based on composing the information as a Word document and then uploading it to the website with very little technical skill required. The websites don’t look dramatically different but there are substantial administrative facilities available which are hidden from the casual viewer’s gaze.
The immediate benefit comes from having instant control over issues such as staff changes, case studies, job opportunitiesetc. In addition the new web pages can be produced within a coherent navigational structure and can be designed to be well indexed by search engines.
Examples
All these examples include back-end management systems (eg, appointment booking system or other CMS services)

Partner & Long-Term Businesses (£20,000+ per annum)
I.T. is increasingly an integral part of the whole business process.
These are just a few examples of how we work closely with clients to deliver business advantage in key areas of development. We are always happy to work in conjunction with existing teams and have valuable experience in managing the implementation cycle.

Trading with the EU is more difficult now that we are no longer members of the EU.
Some of the things that you might need to take into account
It is quite common now to have separate domain names for each country or for separate white label sites; but it can lead to problems with running security log-in systems that enable your clients or admin managers, to run a single log in across all the domains. That is when you need Multidomain login which enables the ‘user state’ to be carried across transparently between them.
